Fault-finding and Maintenance of Grid Connected Systems

$65.00

This course equips participants with the skills to diagnose, troubleshoot, and maintain grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) systems, including battery storage. It covers solar irradiation, PV components, system yield, and workplace documentation for repair activities. Key topics covered include:

  • Fault-finding procedures for inverters
  • AC/DC systems
  • Ground faults
  • Battery fault prevention and disposal.

Participants will also learn maintenance requirements based on industry standards and manufacturer guidelines, including operational maintenance, performance recording, and battery state of health assessment. The course concludes with system testing and commissioning, ensuring safe and effective operation of PV and battery systems.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this course, but it is assumed that students have existing knowledge of grid-connected PV and battery energy storage systems. They may have completed a Grid-Connected PV or Battery Systems course, hold an SAA accreditation or have applicable industry experience across residential and commercial PV and battery systems.

Course Outline

This course equips participants with the skills to diagnose, troubleshoot, and maintain grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) systems, including battery storage. It covers fault finding methods for grid-connected PV and battery systems. Key topics covered include:

  • Fault-finding procedures for inverters
